I spent this weekend in some kind of sweaty delirium replacing the rear suspension on my CRX. It’s a long, rust-encrusted story that the lack of sleep and burning metal fumes has left a little vague, but it’s over.
Now I have a cake of filthy clothes that I wore for the job. They’re covered in grease, brake dust, and all other manner of filth, and I’d like to wash them, but I don’t want to get the washer all greasy. Can I soak them in something to degrease them and get some of this dirt off before I run them through the machine? What have you found most effective?

Well, if those commercials are to be believed, Dawn dish soap was what they used to remove the oil from all those animals that got covered by the BP oil spill. So it should work on clothes too I guess.
